Milton Monroe Mosher was born on April 24, 1914 at Nanquitt, Massachusetts. He received his B.S. in 1935 and his M.S. in Forestry in 1938 from Syracuse University in New York. He began his career at Washington State University as Instructor in Forestry and Range Management in 1937. Since 1961 he held the rank of Professor of Forestry and Forest Scientist.
